Art Lab FAQ

Questions about Art Lab.

Find quick answers about choosing a project, painting your way, and taking the finished piece home.

Ask a studio
Which projects are part of the Art Lab?

The current Art Lab includes pre-drawn canvas painting, ceramic figurine painting, and selected wood projects such as birdhouse painting.

Do I paint a blank canvas?

No. Canvas painters choose from the current pre-drawn designs, then personalize the piece with their own colors and details.

Does ceramic painting require kiln firing?

No. Funtastik Labs does not kiln-fire the ceramics, so the painted piece can go home during the same visit.

Are wood-painting projects always available?

No. Wood-painting availability may vary by studio and visit.

Is Art Lab a step-by-step painting class?

No. Free-style canvas and ceramic painting are studio experiences rather than synchronized classes. The team provides the workspace, materials, and support.

Can I take my project home the same day?

Yes. Canvas and non-kiln ceramic projects are designed to go home during the same visit.

How long does an Art Lab project take?

Everyday Art Lab projects typically take about 30–45 minutes. Parties, group events, and field trips follow the timing for their selected format.
